Your Ability Levels

We have prepared a guide for you to identify your technical and physical level. With this information in mind, you can find the tour that best fits your profile. If you still have questions, though, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team!

TECHNICAL LEVEL 1

Basic

Have been riding a Mountainbike consistently for one season, are capable of controlling bike speed and direction on smooth double-tracks and rolling single trails.

 

 

TECHNICAL LEVEL 2

Medium

Have been mountain biking consistently for 2+ years, can climb and descend under control on moderately steep singletracks with loose rocks and some roots. Can ride with mild exposure at times. Know when to walk a section that might be too difficult.

TECHNICAL LEVEL 3

Advanced

Have been mountain biking for over 3 years, are confident riding all types of singletracks, are able to ride small drops and jumps and descend technical steep sections including rocks and uneven roots. Can ride confidently with exposure. Knows when to walk a section that might be too difficult.

FITNESS LEVEL 1

Easy

Exercise regularly. Are comfortable with sustained output at a relaxed pace for 3-4 hours a day for 2-4 consecutive days.

FITNESS LEVEL 2

Moderate

Exercise 2-3 times a week for 30 minutes or more. Are comfortable with sustained output at athletic pace. Can ride 4-6 hours per day for 2-4 consecutive days and are comfortable pushing and hiking with the bike for sections.

FITNESS LEVEL 3

Intense

Exercise 3-4 times a week for 40 minutes or more. Are comfortable with sustained challenging pace. Can climb for hours, ride 6+ hours a day for 4 consecutive days.
