Lucerne to Interlaken
4 days, 3 nights
Technical Level: Basic | Fitness Level: Moderate
The Emmental tour is probably the most “Swiss” tour we have. There are 4 days cycling through a scenery that seems to have come out of a fairy tale. On the way we will see lakes of turquoise blue water, snow-capped Alps, pine forests and many cowherds with their characteristic bells around their necks, grazing quietly in an extensive green field.
We will also visit the Emmental Cheese Factory, taste Swiss wines and enjoy the local cuisine. This tour allows you to get to know Switzerland in depth, discovering special details of what it is really like.
Our tour starts in Lucerne, early in the morning, at 8:30. We meet to exchange some tour information and for a brief introduction to the e-bike. We head towards the “Route of little Chapels” until we reach historic Willisau.
Read moreThe village is famous for its cookies and the “Rings of Willisau” are amongst the most traditional ones in Switzerland. We will visit a small cookie bakery and enjoy our lunch there.
After lunch, we continue our trip admiring nature, the view to the Alps and the many small farms along the way. Our destination is Madiswil, where we will have dinner and stay for the first night of the tour. The little hotel is full of charm and very traditional, constructed in the 17th century when originally it served as a tavern.
